Have you ever seen a movie and thought, ''What car is that?", well, look no further, I have the answer:

IMCDB.org

The Internet Movie Car Database.

Just type in the movie you just saw and it will give you most of the cars including the scene where you saw it.

You are looking for that one car in the background you just saw a glimpse of.

example:

''What was that car that they crashed on the fountain in The Big Lebowski?''

Kinja'd!!!

According to the site, it is a 1988 Jaguar XJ-S.

''What car did The Dude drive?''

Kinja'd!!!

According to the site, a 1973 Ford Torino.

''What is that hatchback thing in front of the Torino?''

According to the site, it is a 83' Mitsubishi Starion.

Type in the movie and search for the scene.

done.

Want to know if your own car was in any big movies, or was in the background? just select your car at the bottom and look at the scenes that show up!

You can also help the community by selecting -unidentified- and identify as much cars as possible!

For a fun experiment, go on the site and search in what movies your car has been, and post the image here in the comments!

Find the Subaru Forester in No Country For Old Men. Hint: It's six seconds into this video.

Unfortunately, not all the movies are fully covered.

I did not find it on the site,

I did see it, it was on the driveway in.

Hahaha thats awesome.

Wonder if there's more of this kind of accidental time travel in other movies, it has to happen, right?

Likely. Unless you have the budget to build your own road network/town your movie will be shot in closed down roads. Something is bound to be visible in the area outside of the filming zone.

The building I lived in at College in the Fall was across the street from the Mellon Institute, the building used for filming scenes of Batman... talk about Cameo apartment buildings.

I am proud to be a frequent member but a long-time visitor! I do contribute , mostly on music videos, and it is surprisingly fun to capture movie cars, even the background vehicles!

People should also know Internet Game Car Database ( my profile ) and, for the plane fanatics, the Internet Movie Plane Database .
